Volunteers Needed
Join with a friend or a group from work or volunteer as a way to meet people. Volunteers are needed to help host the special events, serve beverages and help to serve the guests as part of the VIP Tent (this is a major fundraising component where companies sponsor a VIP table). Every job is important and helps to raise money to support programs at The Community Healing Centers (Roof Sit). Below are the various volunteer job descriptions. Volunteering in the beverage tent is probably the best way to meet people and do something great for kids. This position is a “bartender” and you dispense beverages. To serve alcoholic beverages you must be 19 years old. Event areas include the beer area, Pepsi beverage area, and a Wine Bar. Beverages include serving keg-tapped beer, non alcoholic beverages and cordials. The Beers Around the World tent features micro beers and mixed drinks. If you like to learn about wine, the Wine Bar is a good place to volunteer.
BEVERAGE TENT
This position is a “bartender” and you dispense beverages. To serve alcoholic beverages you must be 19 years old. Beverages include serving keg-tapped beer, non alcoholic beverages and cordials.
The shifts needed include: Friday- 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. 9:30 p.m.-midnight & Saturday- 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m.-midnight.
Beverage Ticket Sales: Friday & Saturday- 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m. to midnight
VIP TENT ASSISTANTS
Volunteers will wait on a series of tables, serving dinner, clearing plates, and serving beverages. Radisson Catering is coordinating the buffet dinner and will provide instructions on service. Volunteers will also serve beverages. The shifts include: Friday & Saturday from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Cash Bar Hosts: Friday & Saturday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tent Supervisors: Friday & Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. to close
VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
Volunteer support is needed throughout the event to assist with special events, projects and other duties. |
